Sirimon Route (04 nights) – In: Sirimon Out: Sirimon

Day 1 – Nairobi / Old Mosses Cabins (3300m)

Safari starts with pick up from a Nairobi hotel after breakfast or from the airport off an early morning flight before safari briefing by Moige Travels representative. Depart Nairobi driving north past the industrialized town of Thika and lush pineapple, coffee and tea plantation in Kenya's reach highland arriving Nanyuki town for an early lunch. Drive further to Sirimon Park gate for trekking formalities. The easy afternoon trek starts from this point to Old Mosses for the next 5 hours trek in order to acclimatize. Overnight with meals at Old mosses in the high altitude mountain cabins

Day 2 – Old Mosses Cabins / Shimptons Cabins

After an early breakfast engage in an 8 hours trek from 0700hrs which requires patience, endurance & determination. The trek takes you through Likii North little beautiful Valley below the subsidiary peaks of Teleki and Sendeyo (the two ancient parasitic vents of the main peaks) (3990m). Proceed into the Mackinders Valley, one of the broadest valleys on the mountain dominated with the giant groundsels. Overnight with meals at Shimpton Cabins.

Day 3 - Shimptons Cabins

Full day with meals at Shimpton Cabins which sits right below the main peaks of Batian and Nelion (4,300m) to acclimatize and explore the other lower peaks.

Day 4 - Shimptons Cabins / Point Lenana (4985m) / Shimptons Cabins (4 hours)

Early wake up by 0200hrs for an attempt to Point Lenana by 0630hrs.This is the most challenging bit of the trek and requires a strong mind to reach the summit. Descend down by 0730hrs back to Shimptons Cabin for the rest of the day and overnight.

Day 5 Shimptons Cabins (4 hours) / Nairobi / Departure

After breakfast depart Shipton by 0800hrs to Ol Mosses and further to the Park gate to re-unite with your professional driver. Drive to Nanyuki town for lunch before heading back to Nairobi arriving in the early evening hours for farewell dinner at Carnivore restaurant, Africa's greatest eating place.
